June 2021: Dana Citron Joins as Senior Associate Out of the Red Bank Office

Spiro Harrison is pleased to welcome to the firm Senior Associate Dana Citron. Dana is an experienced appellate attorney who focuses on appeals before the New Jersey Appellate Division and New Jersey Supreme Court. She brings significant expertise in appellate practice and procedure to the firm.

February 2021: Partner Eric Jaso Quoted in New York Law Journal article Asset Management Argues for Rate-Rigging Payout Stemming From Bank Settlement

An attorney for the firm, Fortinbras Asset Management, argued that his client’s work unwinding interest rate swaps for defendant Credit Suisse had made it eligible to receive a payout from the class action settlement, reached in 2016 in Manhattan federal court.

January 2021: Spiro Harrison Announces the Promotion of Three New Litigation Partners

Spiro Harrison announced today the promotion of three attorneys to Partner – Meredith Sharoky Paley, Thomas M. Kenny, and Michael J. Sullivan. These new litigation Partners are strategically positioned to use their increased roles to deepen Spiro Harrison’s experience across its litigation practice areas.

December 2020: Spiro Harrison Played Role in the Presidential Pardoning of Military Veterans

We are thrilled to have played a role in the pardoning of our client Paul Slough and his fellow decorated military veterans Evan Liberty, Dustin Heard, and Nick Slatten. Paul, Evan, Dustin, and Nick were charged with crimes related to a violent incident in Iraq during the height of the insurgency while defending government officials as state department contractors. After the initial prosecution was dismissed for “egregious” constitutional violations, the men were retried and convicted, sentenced to 12-15 years in prison, and in one case life imprisonment. As a result of this full pardon, these men will now be reunited with their families after six years in federal prison.

Spiro Harrison is pleased to welcome to the firm associate Rachel Sollecito. Rachel represents clients throughout all aspects of complex litigation. Before joining the firm, Rachel clerked for both the trial and appellate levels in New Jersey.

September 2019: Counsel Meredith Sharoky Paley Selected by Super Lawyers

Spiro Harrison is pleased to announce that attorney Meredith Sharoky Paley has been selected by Super Lawyers as a 2019 New York Metro Rising Star for Business Litigation.  To be included in the Rising Stars list, a candidate must either be 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less.  No more than 2.5 percent of  the lawyers in the New York metro area receive this distinction. Selections are made through a process which includes independent research, peer nominations, and peer evaluations.

A New Jersey appeals court ruled Friday that the state Election Law Enforcement Commission may proceed with an investigation into alleged campaign finance law violations by Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo and his treasurer.

August 2017: Partner Eric Jaso Named Chairman of Election Law Enforcement Commission

Commissioner Eric Jaso, a former federal prosecutor who joined the Commission in March, was named the new chairman by Governor Chris Christie.​​
